marry vt. 嫁；娶；与……结婚 vi. 结婚， 但这两个词性可以表达相同的意思：
marry sb. = marry to sb. = get married to sb. "嫁给某人，娶某人，与某人结婚" (注意，这儿的介词是用”to“,而不是”with“，不用受汉语的影响了)
这两种表达都是”动作性“的，是短暂性动词，不能与一段时间连用的。要表示”结婚一段时间了“就要用细表结构的be married to sb., 这是表状态的，可以延续一段时间的。
Tom married Mary five years ago. 汤姆五年前和玛丽结婚了。
=Tom married Mary five years ago.
=Tom got married to Mary five years ago.
=Tom has been married to Mary for five years. 汤姆和玛丽结婚已经五年了。

She is married to an Englishman.
She marries an Englishman.(及物动词直接+sb）
